3 Ways To Get More Nitrogen In Your Diet

Nitrogen is one part of a diet that not many people think about. However, in order for your body to function properly, you need to be consuming enough nitrogen.

Especially for those who are looking to build muscle or are just wanting to ensure that their muscles and the protein in their body is as strong as it can be, nitrogen is going to be particularly important. Without it, your muscles will quickly become weak. And since your body has a hard time storing nitrogen for future use, you have to consume it on a regular basis. And since you can’t use a nitrogen generator to get more nitrogen in your body, you’ve got to know what foods or supplements to eat in order to get the nitrogen you need.

To help you see how this can be done, here are three ways to get more nitrogen in your diet.

Eat Lean Meats

Many lean meats can be a great source for nitrogen in your diet. This is because the amino acids that make up the protein in the muscles of these animals can easily be passed on to humans when they consume this meat.

Some of the lean meat you should be focusing on are poultry like turkey and chicken, fish, and leaner cuts of beef and pork. While you can still find the amino acids that make up nitrogen in the fattier cuts of meat, eating too much animal fat generally isn’t great for a daily diet. Knowing this, you should try to focus more on the leaner cuts.

Eat The Right Vegetables

Certain vegetables can also be a great source of nitrogen in your diet. However, not all vegetables will have the same amount of nitrogen available to you, which is why it’s good to know which vegetables are best.

Ideally, you should be eating a lot of spinach, lettuce, radish, and rhubarb if you’re wanting to get the greatest bang for your buck in consuming nitrogen. These vegetables have the highest levels of nitrogen, so they’re the best option if you’re wanting to have a very nitrogen-rich diet.

Consumer More Antioxidants

Taking in the right amount of other antioxidants will also help with the nitrogen levels in your body. For example, vitamin C and vitamin E can help keep the nitrogen in your body more stable so it won’t try to leave your body as quickly. These vitamins are also great for the muscular development of your body, so they accomplish some of the same things as nitrogen, too.

If you’ve been feeling like you’re not getting enough nitrogen in your diet, or you’d just like to increase these levels for yourself, consider using the tips mentioned above to help change your diet to meet your goals.
